During Christmas week every year, the members of the Shalako Club would place and light luminarios all over the campus and even on top of some of the buildings. Of course, a few of us would fall off the buildings and we would keep warm in the old proven ways.
Shalako would also light the big A on the hillside for homecoming. Now that was interesting. However, the big A is now grown over and has disappeared.
